• Portillejo Merlot
- 2009
Red • Joven
• La Mancha
Our lightest red for easy drinking.
This is a young light fruity wine from the La Mancha region which is 200 miles south of Madrid. A Spanish Joven – meaning young which are often not fermented in a barrel. Evuna is pleased offer this fine wine which is our recommended house red. It is this family run vineyard’s philosophy that they do not water the vines and will only use nature to grow the grape. Once the grapes are hand picked they are crushed immediately with the yeast and simply left to ferment. This wine is also a great introduction to red wine for any white wine drinker.
